Hope for the Technologically Challenged Person

It's kind of scary thinking about the fact that my 19 year old daughter will some day leave home. Since she's in love and we like the guy, it will happen. What will I do when I get stuck ... uploading my "about me" photo onto my blog? Or when the computer just freezes. Or what about installing new software or other gadgets?!
As a matter of fact, she just rescued me from HTML mode. I could be in big trouble...

Just look at the counter that I copied and pasted all by myself . That's not where I wanted it. I don't know if it's really working.

Here are a few things in which I have succeeded: I have learned how to send attachments, I have organized my email inbox, saving important info in folders, and I have learned *somewhat* how to drag and drop! There is hope for the technologically challenged.

And my 14 year old daughter won't be getting married any time soon.

I love that your 'computer guru' is your daughter! It's great to hear of a girl who's knowledgeable about such things. Because, even in this day and age, it's a field dominated by the boys. My own 'guru' (I admit to sometimes calling him a computer nerd, but in a loving way) is my 24-year-old son. No girlfriend at the moment, but he's apartment shopping and will soon be my first chick to fly away. I'm with you...who's gonna help me with the computer when I need it?

Don't worry too much about them leaving home, it is only for a short time. My 4 have all gone to be in their own homes but they (to date) have brought 13 little ones back to me. It is a blast. Last Friday all the girls (me, 3 daughters, 1 daughter-n-law) had a sleep over while one of the husbands was out of town. We had 3 nursing babies and 5 more under 4 years old. Life is such an awesome cycle.
